From the mixtape G.O.A.T
I admire creativity. Music that I really like usually have at least some novel element in it. The music suggested by the streaming services algorithms doesn't do much good in that regard. It's mostly similar to stuff I already heard. So by following artists, and labels, and getting tips from friends I manage to discover some new sounds every now and then. New to me that is, it may not be new to everyone. Anyway, I figured I should share my discoveries here.

Routine Death - Life Inside a Vacuum
Maybe it's just me, but I have a feeling shoegaze is making a comeback. Or maybe it never went away... och never broke through at all.
Routine Death is a duo with one half in Gothenburg Sweden and one in Austin Texas. This track is from their debut album "Parallel Universes" that is coming out this coming spring.

Pedestrian - Oakland Hosanna
Pedestrian aka Evangelist J.B. Best aka James Brandon Best of Anticon will release an album dec 1st. UnIndian Songs II comes some 12 years after the last one. I look forward to hear collaborations with Telephone Jim Jesus among others.

I don't know anything about Jeff Donna other than that his Soundcloud page says he is from NYC, and that he is or was a member of the group World's Fair. Anyway, if he keeps releasing tracks like this one we will probably learn some more in the future.

Flashius - Kobe Klayton
Kraut-/Psych rock has been all over the past couple of years. This is the first time I've heard elements incorporated into a hip hop track. A very interesting combo. Hopefuly Flashius will explore that path some more.

Blankenberge - Out Loud
Blankenberge is not only a coastal town in Belgium, it's also a group from Saint Petersburg, Russia. Their self-released debut album Radiogaze sound as if spawned by Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine. They make me think there is hope for Russia :)

Two or The Dragon - Prelude For The Triumphant Man (Part II)
This was a really cool track. It's like instruments from the middle east played in a pretty frantic way, turning into a "wall of sound" towards the end. Although I guess it's sampled. I know nothing about the artist, but hopefully the London based label Nawa Recordings will put out more in the future.
